Llantwit Major Town Hall Lighting 2022

I was asked to look the historic town hall in Llantwit Major with a view to installing lighting to enhance its appearance. The possibilities were limited given the public road on one side and the car park on the other. That left the building’s front with its integral stairs, porch and gable. I used two RGB LED lighting units to wash the building with coloured light. The budget only allowed for a static display and at the time, the Town Council wanted to show their support for Ukraine in their war against Russia, hence the blue and green colours. There were up to six other colour sequences preprogrammed for them to choose from the control panel at a later date.
